Following the death of his wife, Detective Inspector John Duggan takes extended leave from the police force.
Leaving Wellington behind him, Duggan heads to his bach in the idyllic Garrison Bay. Surrounded by the peace and quiet of the Marlborough Sounds, he prepares to enjoy some diving and fishing with his friend Patrick Greer. His plans are quickly disturbed however when a woman’s body is found in the water at a local salmon farm.
