On March 27 1984, a bomb exploded in Wellington Trades Hall. Caretaker, Ernie Abbott, was killed instantly.
For the Union Movement, the bombing was not simply the act of a deranged individual. It was the logical outcome of a climate of hostility that had been deliberately fostered and directed against workers for a decade.

This DVD, a memorial to Ernie Abbott and commissioned by the Wellington Trades Council, is a hard-hitting look at this hatred campaign.
