Amanda Robbins (Katie Wolfe) has been lured back to Wellington from Australia by PTV Chief Executive, Martin Woolf (Jonathan Hendry). He wants her Rottweiller qualities to raise the controversial show’s ratings. But Woolf appoints Amanda without consulting Bernard Fry (John Sumner), the producer of Cover Story and Bernard, along with the rest of the staff are appalled by Amanda’s tabloid-esque style and her “blood on the road” approach.
